Woman Seriously Injured in Strood Hit-and-Run Collision

Police are hunting witnesses after a woman sustained serious injuries in a collision near Strood. The crash happened around 3.35pm on Friday, 10 January 2020, on the A228 Sundridge Hill towards Cuxton.

Pedestrian Hit While Pushing Bike

A grey Citroen C4 Picasso struck a woman who was pushing her bicycle at the time. The victim was airlifted to hospital and remains in a serious condition.

Driver Arrested and Released

A 43-year-old woman from Rochester was arrested over the incident but has since been released under investigation. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the inquiry.
