Chaos on Nottingham Avenue

Detectives are hunting witnesses after a woman was hit by a stolen car in Canning Town. The incident unfolded shortly before midday on Sunday, 9 June, when police were called to reports of a vehicle theft on Nottingham Avenue, E16.

Stolen Mercedes Rams Pedestrian

The black Mercedes Vito, registration WR12 LD0, was reportedly driven off from the scene. During the getaway, the thief struck a woman in her 50s. The car then sped off towards Prince Regent Lane.

Victim Hospitalised but Stable

The woman was rushed to a central London hospital. Thankfully, her injuries are serious but not life-threatening, and she is stable.

Police Plead for Eyewitnesses

No arrests have been made yet. Officers want anyone who saw the collision or has information to come forward. If you witnessed anything or have details, contact police on 101 quoting CAD3150/9JUN19.
