Woman’s Hand Bitten by Dog in Draycott: Police Launch Hunt

Derbyshire Police are on the lookout after a dog bit a woman’s hand in a shocking incident on Station Road, Draycott. The attack happened around 11:40am on Tuesday, September 5, right opposite Wilsons Pharmacy.

Rottweiler Suspected in Afternoon Attack

The victim, a woman in her 70s, was out walking with a friend when they met a man walking a dog, believed to be a Rottweiler. The dog suddenly bit her hand, leaving a wound that needed medical care. Thankfully, the injury is not thought to be serious.

Dog Owner Description Released

Police describe the dog’s owner as wearing dark clothes with a thin, pointed nose. They urgently want anyone who saw what happened or knows the owner to get in touch.
