Fire crew sent to car with blown engine

Firefighters from Newport are tackling a car fire at Downend near Arreton this evening (Thursday). Following a number of calls to the service one appliance was sent to the scene. The turned out to be a blown engine on the vehicle. The vehicle ness moved off the carriageway by firefighters. Please refresh this page or check back later for updates.
