After conducting a coordinated raid at an address in Stapleford, police teams covering the Broxtowe borough demonstrated their ongoing determination to increase the pressure on drug dealers causing misery in their communities.
After cops forced their way into the flat on Middle Orchard Street, they quickly seized a bag containing a large amount of drugs.
Following Friday’s enforcement, a man and a woman, both 19, have been questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug (20 January 2023).
Proactive warrants, such as this one, are just a part of our ongoing joint work to combat and disrupt the illegal supply of drugs and to protect people from the harm this type of criminality causes,” said Sergeant Heather Harding of the Beeston Neighbourhood Policing Team.
“Cracking down on drug dealing remains a priority for our policing teams, and for the wider force, and I’d like to reassure the public that we will continue to keep up the pressure on drug dealers whose criminal activity is a blight on our communities and targets the most vulnerable.
“Information and intelligence from our communities are critical to assisting us in ridding our streets of drugs, and as we have repeatedly demonstrated, if people report their concerns to us, we will listen and act.”
