Lorry Driver Charged After Double Death Horror Crash on M271 in Southampton

A lorry driver has been charged by Police with dangerous driving after two people died in a Horror motorway pile-up on the M271 in Southampton. Marian Olteanu, 35, and Ion Calin, 42, both from Shirley in Southampton, died after the crash on the M271 on December 1 last year. The collision involved three lorries and a Ford Mondeo and one of the Lorry drivers was also rushed to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries. Following a detailed investigation by specialist Collision scene investigators from Hampshire Roads Policing a lorry driver from Swanlicote ha been charged he is : Keith Mees, 49, of Pingle Farm Road, Swanlicote, in Derbyshire, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
