Major Road Closed following Collision in Southampton

Police have closed a major road in the city of Southampton following a collision. The incident is thought to involve a pedestrian being struck by a vechile this evening (Friday 2nd December.) Inner Avenue and London road have been cordoned off whilst police carry out their investigations. The incident happened just after 4:15pm this afternoon. Police have asked motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. One person has been taking to hospital by ambulance- the extent of their injuries is unknown.
