Man sprayed with Acid in North London Street

A man has been attacked and injured after 2 suspects sprayed acid in his face and stole his mobile phone on a north London Street. Officers were called to the scene of the alleged “acid attack” on High Road, Whetstone, in Barnet, north London, at 10.30am on Friday. The victim, said to be in his 40s, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say he was approached by two suspects who threw a noxious substance at him before stealing his mobile phone. They then made-off from the scene. The attack comes days after another “acid attack” in Brixton. A woman in her 20s was sprayed with a noxious substance on Brixton Road, near the underground station, on Wednesday.
