Massive Blaze Erupts on Parchmore Road Next to Tesco Car Park!
Smoke billowed thick and fast this morning at around 10 a.m. from a building right next to the Tesco car park on Parchmore Road, Thornton Heath. The dramatic scenes saw plumes of dark smoke towering over the town.
Firefighters Rush to Basement Blaze
Photos from the scene show fire crews battling the flames while thick smoke pours out. A worried local tipped off the fire service, saying a basement was ablaze and a resident was missing. “I know the people living there but wasn’t sure if they were home,” the caller said.
Emergency Services on High Alert
The London Fire Brigade sprang into action, sending six fire engines and around 40 firefighters to tackle the fire. An LFB spokesperson warned locals: “If at all possible, please avoid the area. More information will be forthcoming.”
