Teenager Dies in Horrific Westbury Crash
A terrifying crash in Westbury late on Sunday night claimed the life of an 18-year-old passenger. The silver Ford Fiesta lost control on The Mead just before midnight and smashed into a garden wall and tree near the A350 roundabout.
Four Youths Involved in Deadly Collision
- The car carried four occupants at the time of the crash.
- The female passenger, aged 18, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
- The 19-year-old male driver suffered serious injuries and remains in Southmead Hospital.
- Two other passengers, both girls aged 17 and 18, suffered significant injuries. One was taken to Southmead, the other to Royal United Hospitals in Bath.
Road Closure and Ongoing Investigation
The road stayed closed for hours, reopening just before 10am on Monday morning. The police continue to investigate the shocking collision.
“This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the girl’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time,” said Insp Andrew Lemon. “I ask that their privacy is respected as our investigation continues.”
