Motorists face chaos this morning after a lorry packed full of chickens overturned at the bottom of Blackhorse, closing the A684 between Sedbergh and the M6. The smash happened around 6:00 am, leaving both the A684 and B6256 impassable.

The lorry’s trailer is still blocking the A684, while the cab is stuck across the B6256. Emergency crews are on site transferring the load and recovering the vehicle. Thankfully, the driver escaped unharmed.
