Aviation security expert Professor Philip Baum told Metro:
“This is the first total hull loss of a Boeing 787-8. Investigators will now focus on the flight data and cockpit voice recorders to unearth the cause.”
He warned the death toll could rise due to the crash’s location and the plane’s full international fuel load.
