Boy, 11, and Man Hospitalised After Shocking Knife Attack
An 11-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man were seriously injured in a stabbing incident this morning. Police have launched a full investigation.
Boy Stable, Man Critical
“I am relieved to say the 11-year-old boy is now in a stable condition in hospital,” said DI Steve Menzies of the North Yorkshire Police Major Investigation Team.
The 40-year-old man remains in critical condition. Police continue to monitor his status closely.
Other Children Safe and Supported
Two other children, aged 10 and 13, were in the house during the attack. They are now safe with relatives and receiving specialist support from police officers.
Police Hunt No One Else, Investigation Ongoing
“I can assure the public that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine the full facts of what happened this morning,” said DI Menzies.
“I’d also like to thank the ambulance crews, paramedics, and police officers who responded swiftly and provided emergency care.”
