Man Dies After Wrong-Way Crash Near Maidstone
A man has died in hospital following a serious crash on the M20 near Maidstone. The horror unfolded just before midnight on Wednesday, 12 November 2025.
Car Flies Against Traffic Before Smash
At around 11.30pm, a grey Volkswagen Polo was spotted driving the wrong way on the coastbound carriageway between junctions 8 and 9. Moments later, it collided with a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
The Polo’s driver, a man in his 20s, was airlifted to a London hospital but sadly died the following day. His family have been informed. The van driver suffered minor injuries and has now been discharged.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is probing the crash. They urge anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle beforehand to come forward.
