Massive Blaze Rips Through Woolwich Industrial Estate

Emergency crews are battling a huge fire at Mellish Industrial Estate on Harrington Way, Woolwich. The inferno erupted at around 4:30pm, sparking a major response from the London Fire Brigade.

Firefighters Struggle Against Water Woes

Multiple fire engines have descended on the scene, fighting to contain the flames. But low water pressure at the site is hampering efforts. Additional appliances have been called in to support a complex water relay operation. A Turntable Ladder is also in action, using its water tower to boost firefighting power.

Fire units are lined up along Warspite Road. The public is urged to steer clear of the area to allow emergency services to operate safely and swiftly.

Fire Brigade Sounds the Alarm on Water Supply

“Our crews are working hard to tackle the fire, but water supply issues have posed a challenge. We have called in additional resources to maintain the water pressure required to manage the blaze.”

According to a source at the scene, the water shortage is proving tricky. Extra fire engines are delivering much-needed support to keep the water flowing.

Cause Unknown as Smoke Chokes Woolwich

The fire’s cause remains under investigation. No injuries have been reported so far. Thick black smoke is billowing, forcing residents to keep windows and doors shut.

Traffic is snarled near Harrington Way and Warspite Road, with diversions in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area until the situation is under control.
