A Portsmouth church has fallen victim to burglars in an overnight break-in. Thieves forced entry to St James’ Church in Milton Road last night and made off with a distinctive Votive prayer candle and a sum of money. Anybody who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, or is offered a religious candle, is asked to call Portsmouth police on 101.
