Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit by Lorry on A2 Shooters Hill Road
A woman is fighting for her life after a lorry struck her on the A2 Shooters Hill Road near Greenwich Park early Wednesday morning, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
Emergency Rush to Scene
The horrific collision happened just after 7am. Emergency services were on-site within minutes. The injured pedestrian suffered severe chest, head, and leg wounds. Her identity has not been released.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) received the call at 7:15am and deployed a full response team. This included ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident officer, the Hazardous Area Response Team, and London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes,” said an LAS spokesperson. “We treated a patient at the scene for chest, head, and leg injuries and took her to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
