Cyclist dies after being crushed by Tanker near Penhurst

Officers from Kent Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision near Penshurst. Police were called at 6.30pm on Wednesday 17 July 2018 regarding a collision involving a blue tanker and a cyclist on the B2176 uk/news/uk/PENSHURST" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Penshurst" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="108979">Penshurst Road between Bidborough and Penshurst. The cyclist, a man aged in his 60s from Southborough" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Southborough" link="linked" id="114124">Southborough, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the tanker or the cyclist immediately before or during the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact.
