Major Police Operation Shuts Southbound A282
The A282 southbound at the Dartford River Crossing, also known as the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, is closed due to a police-led incident. Both Essex Police and Kent Police are currently on the scene.
Traffic Diverted, Northbound Restrictions in Place
Southbound traffic is being rerouted through the larger East Tunnel. This has forced northbound traffic to use the lower, smaller West Tunnel, causing significant restrictions and delays.
M25 Gridlock: Slip Roads at J30 and J31 Shut
The incident is wreaking havoc on both sides of the M25 near Dartford. Clockwise entry slip roads at junctions 30 and 31 remain closed, adding to mounting congestion and driver frustration.
