Teen Girl Raped at Busy Essex Holiday Park

Shock rocked Martello Beach Holiday Park in Jaywick, Essex, on Friday evening when a teenage girl was raped under a bridge near the lively clubhouse. The horrific attack happened around 7:30 PM, leaving holidaymakers and locals stunned and horrified.

Victim Led to Secluded Spot by Teen Boys

The youngster was reportedly coaxed away from an arcade by two teenage boys. They led her across a car park to a hidden area beneath a steel bridge close by, where the terrible crime took place. Police swiftly sealed off the scene and launched a full investigation, collecting CCTV footage to track down the suspects.

Visitors Speak Out: “It’s Horrifying”

Kai, a dad of two visiting the park, saw the police presence first-hand. “I got here Friday afternoon, and by the next day police were everywhere,” he said. “They had sealed off the car park by the clubhouse and the bridge. The full truth only hit us later. It’s horrifying.” Fellow guests were shaken by the brazen daylight attack in such a busy spot.

Police Hunt Two Teen Suspects

Essex Police, led by Detective Inspector James Hardingham, are urgently searching for the two boys. Both are described as Caucasian teenagers. One has black hair and was last seen wearing a white vest and grey shorts. The other has dark blonde hair and wore a blue t-shirt and blue shorts. Police urge anyone who saw the suspects or suspicious activity to step forward.

DI Hardingham said, “The victim and her family are being supported by specialist officers. We are working around the clock to find these boys. Plenty of people will have seen them – we need that information now.”

Heightened Police Presence and Community Alert

Since the attack, police have intensified patrols, both visible and undercover, and are conducting house-to-house inquiries in the area. Visitors and locals alike are urged to stay vigilant and report anything unusual. Authorities want to ensure all park-goers can feel safe again as they work to catch the perpetrators.
