Loft Blaze Tears Through Four-Storey London Home
Nearly half of a loft in a four-storey terraced house went up in flames. One occupant escaped before firefighters arrived. Neighbouring homes were evacuated as a safety precaution. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
Massive Fire Response Brings Chaos
A huge 32-metre turntable ladder was deployed to tackle the blaze. The London Fire Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received six emergency calls about the fire.
Firefighters Battle Blaze for Two Hours
- The Brigade was alerted at 2.04pm.
- The fire was under control by 4.03pm.
- Crews from seven fire stations – Islington, Kentish Town, Holloway, Stoke Newington, Soho, Shoreditch and Walthamstow – rushed to the scene.
Officials are now investigating the cause of the fire.
