Major Crash Shuts Middle Road After Horror Three-Vehicle Smash
Emergency crews raced to Middle Road near Freshwater this Saturday afternoon after a nasty collision involving three vehicles. Police and paramedics were called to the scene, with two motorcyclists reported injured.
Road Closed After Serious Crash
The smash has forced Middle Road to shut both ways between Chessell Pottery and Wilmingham Lane. Authorities warn the closure will last for some time as investigations and cleanup continue.
Two Bikers Hurt, One in Serious Condition
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service sent an incident officer and two ambulances to the scene. Paramedics are working urgently on one motorcyclist with serious injuries before both riders were rushed to St Mary’s Hospital.
Investigation Underway
Hampshire Roads Policing officers have launched a probe into the cause of the crash. Freshwater ambulance crews also made vehicles safe and treated the road surface following a fuel spill.
Motorists are urged to respect all road closures and cordons while emergency teams work.
