Blaze Breaks Out at Brighton Marina High-Rise
East Sussex Fire Service rushed to tackle a fire at a high-rise residential block on The Boardwalk, Brighton Marina, at 5:18pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2022.
Massive Fire Response
Eight fire engines and crews from SECAmb quickly arrived on the scene. The blaze was swiftly brought under control using a hose reel.
Firefighters Praise Local Residents
Eight fire engines attended the scene, and 10 breathing apparatus were used to help check on the welfare of residents and clear the smoke,” said an East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson.
“We would like to thank everyone in and around the building for following our guidance while we worked.”
No Injuries, Fire Deemed Accidental
Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries. The fire is currently being treated as accidental, with investigations ongoing.

The Mirror can reveal that he was convicted of unlawful wounding and common assault at Maidstone Crown Court in December 2023, in relation to an attack on a woman and a man. Treeby was sentenced to 14 months in prison, suspended for two years, a court official confirmed.
