Hero Bystander Saves Man After Cardiac Arrest Crash in Brighton
A terrifying medical emergency unfolded on October 14 at around 1:50pm in Eaton Place, Kemptown, Brighton. A driver suddenly suffered a serious cardiac arrest while behind the wheel of his van. The van mounted the kerb, smashing into a pole and another vehicle before coming to a stop.
Quick-Thinking Stranger Performs Life-Saving CPR
A grateful family member took to Facebook, pleading to find the “wonderful human” who saved their brother’s life. They wrote: “My brother, who had a cardiac arrest while driving, was pulled from the car by a gentleman and they gave him CPR which saved his life.”
Police and Emergency Teams Respond
Sussex Police confirmed the road was closed as emergency services, including South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb), rushed to the scene. The driver was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
