Family Cut Free After Horror Three-Car Smash on M27
A family was trapped and had to be cut free from their red Kia after a nasty three-vehicle pile-up on the M27 this morning.
Dramatic Rescue on Hamble Bridge
Fire crews from Fareham raced to the scene and used specialist cutting gear to free the family stuck in the wreckage on the M27 westbound at Hamble Bridge.
Black Ice Suspected in Early Morning Crash
The collision happened just after 7am between junctions 8 and 9 near Whiteley. Authorities believe black ice on the road may have sparked the smash.
Traffic Chaos Cleared
The crash brought the M27 to a standstill for a time, causing gridlock as emergency teams worked tirelessly. Thankfully, all three vehicles have now been recovered and all lanes are open following a swift cleanup by Highways England.
