Five Rescued After Canoe Capsizes in Great Stour River

Kent Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action after reports that three children and two men fell from a canoe and were stranded on an island in the Great Stour River near Canterbury.

Two fire engines rushed to the scene, where crews quickly pulled all five to safety. The stranded group showed signs of hypothermia and were immediately treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics.
