Oasis Fan Falls 170ft to Death at Wembley – Band ‘Shocked and Saddened’

Tragic Fall from Wembley’s Upper Tiers

An Oasis fan, believed to be a man in his 40s, has died after plummeting from the highest stands at Wembley Stadium during the band’s blockbuster reunion gig on Saturday night. The victim fell roughly 170ft from Upper Tier 511 as the band closed their set amid fireworks and roaring applause.

One horrified witness recalled,

“At first, I thought it was a coat falling, but then I saw the bloke hit the concrete. It was horrific.”

Chaos and Slippery Conditions in Tier 511

The tragedy unfolded as fans tried to exit Upper Tier 511. Eyewitnesses described slick surfaces caused by spilled drinks, creating dangerous conditions amid the crowd. Panic and confusion erupted instantly.

Emergency Teams Rush to Scene

Metropolitan Police confirmed officers arrived at the scene at 10.19pm, discovering the man with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite urgent medical efforts from stadium medics, ambulance crews, and police, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wembley Stadium issued a statement:

“Our thoughts are with his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. We are assisting police with their enquiries.”

Investigation Launched – Police Seek Witnesses

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has been alerted and may launch a full investigation into the incident. Police are urging anyone who saw what happened to contact them on 101, quoting reference CAD 7986/02AUG, or message @MetCC on X (Twitter).
