Man in His 80s Killed Crossing M4 Near Wiltshire Border
A man in his 80s has died after being hit while crossing the eastbound carriageway of the M4 near the Wiltshire border. The tragic collision happened just east of Junction 15 in Swindon on Sunday night.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Emergency crews were called at around 9:40 PM on January 7 following reports of a pedestrian struck on the motorway. The man, who was believed to have been driving a grey Hyundai Iconic before attempting to cross, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Lyndsey Blackaby, leading the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit investigation, said: “We are investigating this collision in which a man has tragically died. Our condolences and thoughts are with their loved ones. The man’s next of kin have been informed and they are being supported by specially trained officers.”

M4 Reopens After Forensic Investigation
