A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after the crash, and failing to report it. He remains in custody while inquiries continue. Police are working to inform the victim’s family of the heartbreaking news.
A127 Closed at Nevendon and Fairglen Interchange
Traffic diversions are in place, with the A127 closed both ways at the Nevendon and Fairglen Interchange. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes via the A13, A12, or A130.
Witness Appeal: Help Police Solve This Fatal Collision
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the crash involving a pedestrian and a Range Rover Evoque. They’re also looking for anyone who noticed suspicious activity between 1am on Christmas Day and 9:55am on Friday 27 December.
