Smoke Sparks Fire Alert at Popular Kennington Pub
Fire crews rushed to The Brown Derby on Kennington Park Road after thick smoke billowed from the basement just before 1pm on November 9.
Swift Action as Firefighters Tackle Blaze
On arrival, firefighters spotted heavy smoke pouring from the basement and immediately launched basement fire protocols. Multiple engines were called in to stamp out the flames and stop the blaze spreading through the pub.
Area Locked Down, No Injuries Reported
Emergency services sealed off the surrounding streets to keep the public safe. Locals have been urged to steer clear of the area while crews work. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
