Ten Fire Engines Battle Early Morning Inferno
Fire crews scrambled to Peckham High Street just before 6am to tackle a fierce blaze ripping through a shop’s roof with flats above. A massive response saw 10 fire engines and 72 firefighters and officers roar into action.
Roof Destroyed as Flames Engulf Building
The fire tore through the roof, leaving it completely destroyed. Crews from New Cross, Old Kent Road, Brixton, and other nearby stations fought the flames for hours.
Fire Under Control After 15 Hours
