Blaze Breaks Out on Dartford Heath – Firefighters Rush to Tackle 25m Grass Fire
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) sprang into action after a large grass fire erupted at Dartford Heath. Two fire engines battled flames that scorched a 25m by 25m patch of dry grassland. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.

- Only have barbecues in authorised zones and make sure fires are fully out before disposing of ashes.
- Never leave barbecues unattended.
- Avoid lighting campfires in rural or woodland areas.
- Take your litter with you – reflective cans and glass can ignite fires in dry grass.
- If you live near fields or woodland, don’t burn garden waste during hot spells.
- Report any signs of illegal fire-setting immediately to help prevent disasters.
