Fuse Box Blaze Sparks Fire Alert in Lake

Firefighters from Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue raced to a burning fuse box in Lake tonight. Two crews from Sandown and Ryde rushed to the scene on Sandown Road shortly after 8pm following reports of a strong burning smell.

Smoke Triggers Emergency Call-Out

Residents in the block of flats reported a foul smell of burning, sparking concern and an immediate emergency response. Fire crews quickly teamed up with Scottish and Southern Electric contractors who isolated the main electrics box to prevent further danger.

Firefighters Sweep for Flames

While the electrical team secured the power, one fire crew carried out a thorough search for any signs of active fire inside the property. Thanks to swift action, the situation appears under control with no injuries reported.

The cause of the fuse box fault is still under investigation.
