Fire Brigade Rushed to Heathrow Over Burning Smell

Emergency services scrambled to Heathrow Airport early Wednesday after staff reported a strong smell of burning in the control tower.

London Fire Brigade and Heathrow’s own fire team were called to the scene shortly after 12:30am. Together, they sent multiple fire engines to investigate the source of the smell at the vital airport control centre.

Flight Disruptions Unclear Amid Ongoing Investigation

It remains unknown whether the incident has caused any flight delays or restrictions on take-offs and landings.

Airport officials have yet to release a statement. Heathrow Airport Limited has been contacted for comment.
