Southsea Firefighters Race to Tackle Blaze on Chetwynd Road
Neighbours spotted thick smoke pouring from a home in Southsea and raised the alarm on Monday evening (23rd May 2022).
Firefighters Act Fast to Stop Fire Spreading
Fire crews from Southsea arrived swiftly and used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to douse the flames. They also deployed positive pressure ventilation (PPV) to clear smoke from the property.
Thanks to their quick actions, the fire didn’t escalate further. Crews stood down shortly after 9:15 pm. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
