Tyre Blaze Erupts in Southend Yard at Dawn

Fire crews from Essex County fire and rescue raced to a fiery scene on London Road, Southend, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Two Tonnes of Tyres and Vehicles Engulfed in Flames

At 2.45am, the incident commander reported a massive blaze involving two tonnes of tyres and several vehicles set alight in the yard.

Heroes Halt Fire Spread in 90 Minutes

Incident Commander David Gomez praised the team: “Our crews did a fantastic job of surrounding the fire and stopping it from spreading to nearby buildings.

It was thanks to their hard work and skill that we managed to quickly bring it under control and extinguish it within 90 minutes.”
