Before fighting fires, Beccy made her mark in journalism. She kicked off her career at The Blackpool Citizen, moved to Money Marketing in London, and became a familiar face on BBC North West Tonight in 2013. Her voice also reached listeners on BBC Radio 5 Live and various regional shows.
In 2019, after 20 years in the media, she switched gears to join the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. Following her father’s footsteps, Beccy embraced a brand-new challenge, learning a trade from scratch.
