Basement Blaze Hits London: Gas Cylinders Destroyed, No Injuries

A fire tore through part of a basement roof, smashing a gas cylinder and forcing firefighters to remove two more as a safety precaution. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Emergency Services on Full Alert

The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received 12 urgent calls about the blaze. Fire crews from Tooting, Clapham, Battersea, and Brixton rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised at 2.31pm.

Fire Under Control After Overnight Battle

The blaze was officially under control by 3.45am after a gruelling effort from the teams. The cause remains undetermined, with investigations ongoing.
