Golf Buggy Blaze Rocks Isle of Wight Festival
A golf buggy erupted in flames at the Isle of Wight Festival this Thursday afternoon, sending thick black smoke swirling over Seaclose.
Swift Action from Festival Fire Crews
The fire broke out near Pink Moon Camping, rapidly engulfing the buggy. Festival emergency responders, Emergency Medical & Fire Solutions, jumped into action and doused the flames before the situation worsened.
No Injuries, Festivities Continue
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze. The incident was quickly contained and did not affect festival staff or attendees, confirmed Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary live on site at 2:21pm.
A Festival spokesperson said: “A fire broke out in an area of the festival. The fire was contained and quickly extinguished by the fire services. No one was injured.”
The festival’s emergency teams acted fast, keeping disruption to a minimum and allowing music lovers to carry on with their celebrations uninterrupted.
