Firefighters Race to Stop Blazing Inferno in Hove Home
A catastrophic blaze was narrowly avoided in Hove thanks to the quick action of East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS). On the evening of April 5th, firefighters scrambled to a Wordsworth Street house after a garden fire alarmingly spread to the property itself.
Flames Leap from Garden to House
The fire broke out at 8:43pm, with flames rapidly moving from the garden into the building. Emergency crews wasted no time, launching a full attack to halt the dangerous spread. ESFRS deployed four sets of breathing apparatus, a main jet, and tapped water from a nearby hydrant to douse the flames.
Brave Crews Prevent Disaster – No Casualties
“We used four breathing apparatus, a main jet and a local fire hydrant to extinguish the fire,” an ESFRS spokesman said. “Crews left the scene at 9:51pm and there were no casualties.”
The rapid, coordinated effort by firefighters saved the neighbourhood from what could have been a devastating blaze.
