Homes in Gosport have been plunged into darkness again tonight. Residents are fed up after a second power outage in just days.
Power Down for 33 Homes
Southern Electric confirmed around 33 homes in the Bridgemary area lost power due to a fault at Lombard Close near the Downside substation.
Engineers Battling Fault at Substation
A spokesman said engineers are already on site investigating the cable fault that caused the blackout. “We have up to 12 hours to fix the issue but do not have a specific time for power to be restored yet,” they added.
