The Isle of Wight New Look store stayed shut all day Wednesday, June 13, thanks to a lighting fault. Doors remained firmly closed since 9am with no clear explanation to shoppers.
Electrical Fault Behind Sudden Closure
While New Look revealed plans to shut 60 UK stores in a bid to boost profits back in March, this closure isn’t part of that. A store manager confirmed the shutdown is due to an electrical issue. An engineer from the mainland has been called in to fix the problem.
Hope for Reopening Tomorrow
The manager told us they’re optimistic the fault will be sorted in time, aiming to reopen and trade again on Thursday.
