Suspicious Lorry Fire Sparks Alarm at Aldi in Dartford

A blazing lorry fire at an Aldi loading bay in Dartford is now being treated as suspicious by emergency services.

Blaze Erupts on Suffolk Road

Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to Suffolk Road at 8:14 p.m. on January 18 after reports of a lorry engulfed in flames. Three fire engines rolled up as firefighters in breathing gear battled the blaze with hose reel jets.

Video footage shows the fire starting in the cargo hold of the HGV, with flames licking up the vehicle’s canvas side.

No Injuries but Cause Treated as Suspicious

Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed: “We were called to reports of a lorry on fire at a loading bay in Suffolk Road, Dartford. Three fire engines attended, and crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.”

“There were no reported injuries, and the cause is being treated as suspicious.”

Police Appeal for Information

Kent Police are investigating the incident, with foul play suspected. Anyone with details or footage is urged to call Kent Police on 101 quoting the reference number, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
