Crash Causes Massive Chaos
The smash happened just after 6:20pm on Wednesday evening on the London-bound carriageway within the smart motorway section. Emergency services flooded the scene, dealing with a collision involving a vehicle leaving the carriageway, multiple cars, and an overseas lorry driver.
Police and National Highways officers quickly shut down the motorway, forcing all traffic to exit at junction 4. The closure is expected to last for hours, causing huge delays.
Emergency Crews Battle On Scene
