M4 Crash Chaos: Slough Slip-Up Shuts Road Eastbound
The M4 in Berkshire is in meltdown after a smash involving a car and lorry near Slough. Eastbound lanes between junctions 7 and 6 are fully closed. To make matters worse, around 200 litres of diesel has spilled all over the carriageway.
Emergency Crews Battle Diesel Spill
Thames Valley Police, Fire and Rescue, and Highways England Traffic Officers are on the scene tackling the spill and clearing the wreckage. To keep the rescue effort safe, lane 3 on the westbound side is also shut.
Drivers Forced to Follow Diversion Madness

- Exit the M4 at junctions 8/9 for Maidenhead.
- Take the 2nd exit onto the A308(M).
- At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit east onto the A308 to Windsor.
- Turn left onto the A332 north to rejoin the M4 at junction 6.
