M2 Motorway Shut After Serious Van Crash Near London

A major crash has brought the M2 motorway to a standstill near London this morning. Around 10 am, a large van smashed off the road and ended up in a ditch beside the motorway, sparking chaos and a full closure.

Emergency services scrambled to the site immediately. Recovery efforts are now underway to clear the wrecked vehicle and make the road safe. Due to the severity of the crash, a large stretch of the M2 has been sealed off, causing major disruption.

Closure Hits Junctions 6 to 5 Near Stockbury

The motorway has been closed between junction 6 (A251) and junction 5 (A249) by the Stockbury roundabout. Officials warn this section will remain shut until at least 5 pm today as recovery and cleanup continue.

Long Delays and Chaos for Drivers

Traffic is gridlocked, with queues stretching over a mile. Around 123 vehicles are caught in the snarl-up. Motorists are urged to find alternative routes and check live traffic updates before heading out.
