Tragedy on A3M: Man Killed in Late-Night Hit-and-Run
A man has sadly died after being struck by a car on the northbound A3M, just after the Clanfield slip road. The shocking incident occurred on Sunday evening.
Pedestrian Hit by VW Polo Near Clanfield
Hampshire Police confirmed the pedestrian was hit by a VW Polo shortly after 11.30pm on Sunday. The victim, a 35-year-old man walking on the unlit carriageway, suffered fatal head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A3M Northbound Shut for Hours
Police closed the northbound carriage between Junction 2 and Junction 1 for five hours while collision and accident investigations took place. The VW Polo driver was treated for shock at the scene and later taken to hospital.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
