A man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a train at Kingston station this morning, sparking chaos and severe delays on the South Western line.
Kingston Station in Lockdown as Emergency Crews Rush In
Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, descended on Kingston station at 8:15am on December 16. British Transport Police quickly sealed off the area, banning public access. Multiple ambulances and paramedics treated the injured man before he was rushed to a major trauma centre.
Witnesses heard blaring sirens and saw crowds gathering outside the cordoned-off station. Train disruption is expected to last until at least 11:30am, with delays likely to run longer.

London Ambulance Service Issues Statement
“We were called at 8.15am today to reports of a person hit by a train at Kingston Station, KT1. We sent ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, incident response officers, the hazardous area response team (HART), and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance. The man was treated at the scene before being taken as a priority to a major trauma centre.”
The man’s condition is currently unknown as British Transport Police continue their probe into the incident.
