Man in his 30s in Life-Threatening Condition After Hotel Rampage in SE1
Chaos Erupts at Tooley Street Hotel
Police rushed to a hotel on Tooley Street, SE1, just after 12:40pm on Saturday, 25 January. Officers responded to reports of a man acting erratically and threatening self-harm. When they arrived, they found damage inside one of the hotel rooms but the suspect had already fled.
Disturbance Spills Into Borough Market
About 15 minutes later, the man was seen causing a scene near Borough Market and Borough High Street. Security staff caught him attempting to enter a nightclub, where he was quickly detained.
The security team called both police and paramedics to the scene. Despite immediate medical aid, the man’s condition took a turn for the worse.
Rushed to Hospital, Family Notified
He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical, life-threatening state. His family have been informed. Police continue to investigate the incident.
Police Seek Witnesses
Officers are urging anyone who saw the incidents or has information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
