14-Year-Old West London Girl Found Safe After Police Search
Urgent Search Launched
A 14-year-old girl from West Drayton, West London, sparked a police search after she failed to turn up to meet her grandmother on Friday, November 29. Gracie Drake last spoke to her grandma at 9:45am, promising to visit her at work – but never arrived.
Later that evening, a message popped up on Snapchat from Gracie to a friend, hinting she might be with a boy named Harry and travelling to Kent by train. Cops quickly grew worried after learning about an older man allegedly involved, who had reportedly made threats to the teenager.
Massive Police Hunt Underway
The Metropolitan Police launched a full-scale inquiry, trawling through CCTV footage across the area. Officers described Gracie as having long dark brown hair, blue eyes, and standing about 5ft tall. She was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket with fur trim, black flared trousers and Nike trainers.
Gracie Found Safe and Well
On Sunday, December 1, the Met confirmed the teenager was found safe. Details of where she was found or her condition were not revealed, but the news brought huge relief to her family and the local community.
Investigation Still Ongoing
Police have yet to comment on the role of the older male or any risks Gracie might have faced. Enquiries continue to safeguard her welfare and get to the bottom of the case. The Met also thanked the public for their sharp eyes and help during the search.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police.
